Today I identify as a BUSINESS ARCHITECT and I am working toward my goal of becoming the top entrepreneur mentor. I know I’m not quite there but I am on my journey to getting there.
I’ve had my setbacks, failed many times, and experienced moments of doubt after losing $1 Million.
I have to say now that what played the central role in my success was my insatiable desire to learn more🔥
I took my failures as feedback, I learned from experienced entrepreneurs, and most importantly, I was open to change my MINDSET.
I read about successful people and how they got to where they are.
Many times there are teachers we don’t even know about. Take Zhou Qunfei, for example.
Zhou Qunfei chairs Lens Technology, a smartphone screen supplier whose customers include Samsung, LG, Microsoft, and Nokia.
Zhou was migrant factory worker as a teenager but she went on to become one of the world’s richest self-made women with $Billions.
“The clients won’t give you a better price for your products simply because you have a higher degree but your knowledge of the business will help maintain the competitiveness of your company.” -Zhou Qunfei
Despite her poor upbringing, Zhou took part-time courses while working as a factory worker and obtained her certificates in accounting, computer operations, and even a commercial truck driver’s license.
“When you have the ability to learn, you have the ability to continue to grow.” -Zhou Qunfei
The belief that you can’t learn new things is a part of your Mindset and it’s something that you can change.
When it comes to our Mindset, people fall into two patterns: they tend to use a growth mindset or a fixed mindset.
Here’s the good news: these fundamental beliefs are learned and we can change them.
I’ve met many people who carry fixed beliefs about what they can and can’t do.
When you carry a fixed mindset, you come to believe that your skills and talents are fixed… that, what you know is unchanging, so you can’t possibly learn anything new.
While this seems extreme at first, you can hear it crop up in conversations when people say things like “I’m a bad singer,” “I can’t dance” or “I’m bad at sales”!
All of these are examples of a fixed mindset.
The trouble here is that people haven’t taken the time to practice and develop the new skill so they dismiss their ability.
This fixed mindset limitation can be applied to every aspect of our lives.
From an early age, we learn that to succeed, we must know more.
That’s why we put such high importance on grades as a measure of success.
And when we start our business, we carry that Mindset with us.
Although there is nothing wrong with keeping up your skillset, this alone will do NOTHING for your BUSINESS!
As an entrepreneur, you must take your knowledge and turn it into action!
Remember this, guys, action wins.
Always take action and seek new information in the world of business, entrepreneurship, and self growth.
The world is changing; each day, there is new information to learn and a new skill to sharpen.
Education is not just about SCHOOLING.
Surround yourself with experienced mentors, ask for their advice, read new BOOKS, join courses, and never stop searching and keeping up with the latest entrepreneurship news.
Successful entrepreneurs take learning seriously, think of new ways to grow, and look to make themselves better.
💲INVEST IN YOURSELF💲
